We fell in love with the New Buffalo area after visiting for the first time in 2016. We had two dogs - one of whom, Ernie, passed away after 14 years - and we were looking for a weekend escape, so we stayed in an AirBNB with our surviving dog, Reggie.
It was our first time staying in a rental and our first time in New Buffalo, although we’d both grown up going to the Warren Dunes. We came back the following weekend for a wine tour and the rest is history. We eventually found a place to use as our escape from the city and ultimately started renting part time to offset the cost.
As avid business travelers ourselves, the company grew as we realized there was a need for updated properties with amenities that were also dog friendly. We also recognize the value of an owner managed property that we can host ourselves versus a 3rd party managed property. We have since sold our place in Chicago and live in the New Buffalo area full time with our current dogs, Willy and Gracie.
